The Black Cat
The Black Cat
Personally, I think that the whole "If a black cat crosses your path it brings bad luck" is an extremely dim-witted myth. What proof do you have about this? Why does it have to be BLACK cats? Why can't it be white cats or yellow cats? Is this world trying to discriminate black cats?
I think that black cats are really helpful. Let me tell you this: In Tite Kubo's manga hit Bleach, Yoruchi is a black cat (or his soul is trapped inside one), and he is really helpful! Yoruchi helps Ichigo and his squad rescue Rukia from getting executed.
Also, Bad Kitty by Nick Bruel is another example. I know that Bad Kitty is a trouble maker, and he causes a whole bunch of chaos, but at the end of every Bad Kitty book, Bad Kitty learns his lesson.
Besides, all the extremely bad and unfortunate cats are not black cats. For example, Garfield is a very naughty cat (and extremely funny and fat) and he is a tabby cat. There is also the Cheshire Cat from Alice in wonderland (I don't know what type of breed the Cheshire cat is) who is really cunning. Last of all, there is TOM from Tom and Jerry! Here is the biggest example of all! I don't know of any other unfortunate cat than Tom. He has gone through 332 episodes and 8 movies of troubles and terrible things, and he is a GREY cat.
This is my reasoning on why I think that the myth "If a black cat crosses you path, it brings bad luck" is not true.
