Big Nate by Lincoln Peirce is the #4 I would pick. The story revolves around a 11-year old boy named Nate Wright. He is street-smart but is always getting detentions and things like that. His two friends, Francis and Teddy.are not his personality but they get along well.
Extremely funny comic, I recommend you to read this. This comic strip started on 1-7-1991.

5. Krazy Kat
 I haven't personally read much of this strip myself, but as a classical comic strip, I have to give this #5.
 Krazy Kat, Ignatz Mouse, and Ofiisa Bull Pupp are all charecters in this comic.
 This comic started in 1913-1944. Very old, I know. The person who created it is named George Herriman.
Krazy Kat takes place in Coconino Country, Arizona.      

 That was from the comic strip Peanuts by Charles M. Schultz. This comic was made on Sept. 3, 1961.
